CPR, first aid and Babysitter's Training classes listed on this website in the Health & Safety Classes section are offered at our chapter location at 2 E. Frederick Street in Walkersville MD, unless otherwise noted. FEES: Payment of the course fee ensures your space in the course. Most classes have ten spaces available. Pricing is based on American Red Cross Cost Analysis Model to determine actual costs of supplies, labor, equipment and other expenses on a per-student basis. Prices are subject to change based on supplier costs. REGISTRATION/PAYMENT: Pre-registration and payment in advance are required for all courses. Class size is limited, so early registration and payment is recommended to guarantee placement. Payment is accepted in the form of cash, check, money order, or credit card (VISA, MasterCard and Discover). Payment may be brought into the chapter during regular business hours, mailed, or credit card transactions may be authorized over the phone. Checks and money orders should be made payable to the Frederick County ARC and should include the class title and date on the memo line. There are no refunds unless American Red Cross cancels the course. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Office hours are from 8:30-4:30, Monday through Friday. PREPARATION FOR CLASS: Books and materials are provided and included in the course fee. Casual clothes are appropriate. For an all-day class, we encourage you to bring a brown bag lunch. CANCELLATION POLICY: If you cannot attend your class, you can reschedule one time within three months of your scheduled class date if you give us an advance notice of at least three business days prior to the start of your scheduled course. If you do not provide three days notice, are late to the class or are a no show, your fees will be forfeited. We reserve the right to cancel a course if minimum enrollment is not met, in the event of an instructor emergency, or due to inclement weather. (Please call the chapter during inclement weather.) You are entitled to a full refund or to reschedule the course within three months if we cancel the class. You must return all course materials in their original condition to receive the full amount. TEXTBOOKS: Each student enrolled in American Red Cross course is required to have books and/or skill cards. The cost of each books and skill cards is included in the published fee unless stated otherwise. SAFETY RELATED ITEMS: The American Red Cross offers many different first aid-related items for sale, including pocket masks, first aid kits, etc. For product descriptions, a complete price list and to order any of these items, please call Health & Safety Services during regular office hours. | |
