2010-01-17 - Chapter Opened on Holiday

We have received numerous calls and visits over the weekend from people that want to know how they can assist the people of Haiti.  The Red Cross is not accepting volunteers to travel to Haiti, but is accepting financial donations which will assist the Red Cross and our partners who are on the ground providing a wide range of help and support, including flood, water, field hospitals, emotional support, sanitation facilities and helping restore links between families.  The Chapter in Walkersville will be open on Monday, January 18 for those of you that would like to stop by and make a donation or would just like to learn more about what we're doing to help.
