In any disaster, the ability of the local Red Cross chapter to collaborate with Red Cross partners to ensure a coordinated response resulting in effective service delivery is critical. Understanding the role of the local chapter, our partner relationships, and the process for liaisoning with the EOC and incident command is critical for every Red Cross disaster volunteer.
Friday evening, March 19th and Saturday, March 20th, Cathy LaFleur, DEL/MD/WV Red Cross Disaster Officer and Judy Peterson will offer a combined Collaboration/EOC (Emergency Operation Center)/Liaison Training.
This class is open to anyone interesting in improving their ability to collaborate with others during a disaster. The only pre-requisite is Fulfilling Our Mission.
Class Times: Friday, March 19th 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 20th 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Participants will receive Red Cross credit for both Collaborating to Ensure Effective Service Delivery and Emergency Operations Center/Incident Command Liaison. All DSHR members are encouraged to enroll as these courses are required for advancement in many DSHR positions.
