Be Prepared: Resources For You 


 

Disaster can strike quickly and without warning. It can force you to evacuate your neighborhood or confine you to your home. What would you do if basic services -- water, gas, electricity or telephones -- were cut off? Local officials and relief workers will be on the scene after a disaster, but they cannot reach everyone right away. Use this website (or dial 2-1-1) to find assistance when you or someone you know needs help. there are thousands of health and human services programs available toa ssist you -- from child care, jobs, health care, and insurance -- to emergency services to help you in times of disaster or emergency.
